Nexus X Humectress (a pseudonym) is the director of Destination: Ayahuasca.

He recently spent 3 months in the Amazon, participating in 30 ceremonies led by Peruvian shamans at two different ayahuasca centers. He also spent a week secluded in the jungle dieting a non-psychoactive medicinal plant called sanango, which is often used in conjunction with ayahuasca. After experiencing ayahuasca’s power to transform his life for the better, he wants to use this movie to spread awareness of the medicine so that others can benefit as well.

For two years, he was in the cast and crew of a live, weekly, one-hour public access television show. He also shot 20 hours of interview footage for a documentary on intentional communities that was directed by someone else.

A long-time proponent of mutually supportive and sustainable ways of life, Nexus was a member of a large, secular, income-sharing commune called Twin Oaks Community for seven years. Now Nexus resides in a smaller, more informal communal group called Open Circle in Virginia, USA.

Nexus is a heavy metal singer with a 4 octave range.
